St. Francis Church is part of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, the Episcopal Church (TEC), and the world-wide Anglican communion. Established in 1949, St. Francis has a congregation averaging 70 members. Growing God’s church and expanding our efforts to do God’s work are our major concerns for the immediate future. Youngsville, the home of St. Francis Church, is located in Warren County and is a close-knit, safe, and friendly community on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest. Our parishioners come from all parts of the county, some traveling over 30 miles on a Sunday to worship.

The congregation has a strong sense of family and pulls together to help one another, as well as others in the community. We gather for coffee after service each Sunday with the ladies taking turns providing goodies. Our Altar Guild and the ECW are always working hard. We have dedicated folks who tend the gardens, clean, and take care of God’s house. The Sunday School is growing, and each Sunday the teachers continue their dedicated service to the young people providing special activities throughout the year. 

Outreach at St. Francis
St. Francis Church is avidly committed to making the world a little better through our varied outreach projects. For the past sixteen years, we have organized and conducted Pleasures and Treasures, an annual craft fair with over 100 vendors, with proceeds going to many regional, national, and international charities. Our rummage sales help clothe the less fortunate. We award two or three educational scholarships each year to students in Warren County. We have helped families at holiday time and in times of special need. For the past three years, we have served free monthly outreach dinners in our parish hall. These provide a meal for those in need and a place for friends and neighbors to relax and socialize.

Additionally, we provide the church facilities as a meeting place for Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous, a weight loss group, art classes, and other groups. We also participate in the local food bank and host a birthday party for Rouse Nursing Home patients. Seldom is there a time that we are not involved in some outreach activity.
